Located in the north-western part of the island, Stintino presents a large variety of natural environments: fine white sandy beaches, cliffs rising from the sea, pure creeks.
A typical fishermen´s village located between a narrow inlet, called Porto Minore or Stintineddu, and a long fiord (once a small valley) called Porto Mannu, now hosting the new port that is being completed. In the surrounding area, the isolated and marvellous Cape Falcone, in front of the Pelosa beach, one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Sardinia. The north-west coast of Sardinia is mostly characterized by the beautiful town of Alghero, the capital of tourism. Here you can still find the evidence of the Catalan domination together with beautiful sandy beaches and fascinating cliffs. Porto Torres (with its harbour) and Fertilia airport are connected by comfortable streets to the most beautiful places of the province. The characteristic of this area, as well as the clear sea and the Mediterranean bush, is the presence
of several brackish pools (the biggest of them is that of San Teodoro), symbols of a still pure
nature; here you can find several animals, for example the beautiful red herons. Thanks to the beauty
of the landscapes and to the numerous seaside resorts, this part of Gallura has attracted the
attention of many tourists in the last years.
In the neighbourhood the harbours of Olbia, Golfo Aranci and Arbatax and the airports Olbia and
