Located in the north-western part of the island, Stintino presents a large variety of natural environments: fine white sandy beaches, cliffs rising from the sea, pure creeks. A typical fishermen´s village located between a narrow inlet, called Porto Minore or Stintineddu, and a long fiord (once a small valley) called Porto Mannu, now hosting the new port that is being completed. In the surrounding area, the isolated and marvellous Cape Falcone, in front of the Pelosa beach, one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Sardinia.

Thanks to the beauty of the landscapes and to the numerous seaside resorts, this part of Gallura has attracted the attention of many tourists in the last years. The north-east coast of Sardinia is one of the most intertesting one, not only because of its beautiful beaches but also for the rests of ancient civilizations that can be seen still today. There are several seaside resorts which offer to the tourist avery kind of attractions. Carloforte is the main centre of the monuntainous island of San Pietro, in the south of Sardinia. Here you can find little coloured houses together with wonderful beaches and crystal-clear water.
